I'm from Richmond and had heard the C & O was great. However, when my husband and I took our daughter (UVA student) and friend to dinner on a Wednesday evening were were disappointed. We arrived early and were seated promptly. From that point on it was downhill. Service was slow. We had to ask for drink refills constantly. The entree were OK--a steak entree was undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Of the three deserts we ordered -- only the ice cream was good. Would not return. A big let down.
