Michie Tavern
1 review(s)
$26-40 (average dinner bill for 2 excluding alcohol)
Copious amounts of fried chicken and everything that goes with it at this old-fashioned buffet. Eat at long tables- make a new friend.
The HooK
The Tavern's dining room, the Ordinary, features hearty Midday Fare offered by servers in period attire. The rustic Tavern setting renders a dining experience rich in southern culture and hospitality for families to enjoy. Our southern buffet is based on 18th century recipes. Patterned after the southern tradition, many guests choose our bountiful midday fare as their main meal of the day.

Disappointing BuffetMichie Tavern
I don't know if it was the time of year, or what, but my wife and I were so disappointed we actually left and went somewhere else.
The "buffet" was ridiculously expensive ($15+/person) and included fried chicken, half ears of corn, and a couple other items. I was really looking forward to some "authentic" food, but this was like the cafeteria at a hospital.
Another warning, the place was full of tour bus groups going to see Monticello.
